Shane’s responsibilities at the firm include taking client depositions, conducting product identification research and preparing responses to discovery requests. Shane’s dedication to his clients transcends legal representation; it encompasses unwavering support during their most challenging times. With a personal understanding of the impact of mesothelioma on families, Shane’s empathy adds a unique dimension to his advocacy.
Motivated by a desire to contribute to a more just and equitable society, Shane pursued a career in law. His overarching goal is to level the playing field and foster fairness and justice within the community. During his time in law school, Shane served as the articles editor for the Iowa Law Review and as president of the Sports Law Society. Furthermore, he gained valuable experience as an extern for the Honorable Charles P. Kocoras of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago. Additionally, he served as an intern in the homicide and domestic violence divisions for the Clark County District Attorney’s Office in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Recognized for his commitment to professionalism and addressing issues within the legal profession, Shane was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism to a groundbreaking statewide initiative in 2023. The initiative, titled “Bullying in the Legal Profession: Its Prevalence, Impact, and Strategies for Prevention,” underscores Shane’s dedication to promoting a supportive and respectful legal environment.
